Babylon Booster Club proudly hosts another Varsity Awards Dinner for our student-athletes. A yearly tradition that’s sure not to be missed!

When: Sunday, March 28th, 2010 5pm to 8pm

Cost: $10 cover charge includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres

Lily Flanagan’s is donating ½ the proceeds from the Cash Bar to the Babylon Booster Club

The night’s proceeds will go to the general booster club funds.

Babylon Booster Club is a non-profit association of interested parents and alumni

that encourages athletic participation in the Village of Babylon

Wall of Fame Criteria If you have a candidate in mind, please read the qualification and if you would like to submit candidates for our review then print, complete and mail our nomination form to:

Qualifications

The following are the categories into which an individual or team must fall to be considered by the Committee for induction:

County High School Champion or better (Individual player).
County High School Selection or better.
- Individual player from a sport in which the player cannot compete as an individual.
- Coach.
- At the discretion of the committee this category may be based upon the most restrictive process used by a County-wide publication or high school athletic organization.
County High School Championship Team or better.
Individual County Event Winner or better composed of two or more competitors.
Undefeated League or Conference (whichever is higher) Championship Team and only in a sport where no higher competition than that is offered.
Unique Sports Achievement
- Any Long Island, Regional, State, National, or International champion or selectee, or member or selectee of a championship team.
- Any other unique sports achievement not covered by any of the foregoing categories.

***** No team receiving an award shall be placed on the Wall of Fame until a minimum of ten years has elapsed since the accomplishment by that team. No individual receiving this award shall be placed on the Wall of Fame until a minimum of ten years has elapsed since that person’ s class graduates.

Congratulations to the Babylon High School Varsity Boys Cross Country Team as they added another Section XI Class C Suffolk County Championship. For more information about the win – visit the Babylon Beacon article online.

In Addition, we want to extend congratulations to the Varsity Football team which earned their seventh county championship and their fourth Class IV Long Island championship. For more information about the win – visit the Babylon Beacon article online.

Congratulations to Heather Glenday for her All-State honors in swimming in both the 100m and 200m freestyle. On her way to the getting to the states, Heather finished 2nd in both the 100m and 200m freestyle at the section XI Suffolk County Championships.
