Wall of Fame Criteria If you have a candidate in mind, please read the qualification and if you would like to submit candidates for our review then print, complete and mail our nomination form to:

Qualifications

The following are the categories into which an individual or team must fall to be considered by the Committee for induction:

1. County High School Champion or better (Individual player).
2. County High School Selection or better.
   • Individual player from a sport in which the player cannot compete as an individual.
   • Coach.
   • At the discretion of the committee this category may be based upon the most restrictive process used by a County-wide publication or high school athletic organization.
3. County High School Championship Team or better.
4. Individual County Event Winner or better composed of two or more competitors.
5. Undefeated League or Conference (whichever is higher) Championship Team and only in a sport where no higher competition than that is offered.
6. Unique Sports Achievement
   •  Any Long Island, Regional, State, National, or International champion or selectee, or member or selectee of a championship team.
   • Any other unique sports achievement not covered by any of the foregoing categories.

***** No team receiving an award shall be placed on the Wall of Fame until a minimum of ten years has elapsed since the accomplishment by that team. No individual receiving this award shall be placed on the Wall of Fame until a minimum of ten years has elapsed since that person’ s class graduates.
